The course aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge for the effective application of pesticides (plant protection products) in a way that is safe for farmers and consumers of agricultural products and with the least possible impact on the environment. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to identify the basic characteristics of the main categories of plant protection products, to evaluate and select the appropriate plant protection product for its application, to develop and implement integrated pest management programmes, to manage or be responsible for the operation of a plant protection products marketing shop.
